DTF White Underbase: Why Yours Looks Wrong (and How to Fix It)
By Monk Vector Works Team · April 18, 2026 · 5 min
Most DTF files leave the white channel to the RIP — and most RIPs do a mediocre job. The result is halos, fringe, and a dull color layer on dark garments.
Generate the white channel in Photoshop or Illustrator before sending to RIP. Choke it by 1-2 pixels. Verify edge anti-aliasing.
Files prepped this way transfer clean the first time — no fringing, no second pass.
